Set up: Unloading your work. Directly outside the Park Inn Palace Hotel and Royals shopping centre there is space to unload your work to the railings. We advise that you unload to your designated area then ask someone to keep an eye on your work while you go and park your car. So that we don't have cars obstructing new arrivals and we keep the flow of traffic moving.

Demonstrations: we would like to encourage artists to paint or draw while they are there, should they so wish to do so. It's a great crowd puller!

Tables: You may bring a Table max size of 3ft 6ft, be aware that a table this size may obstruct some of the artwork, so a small table may be wiser or easel. Tables and easels are your sole responsibility. Also we don't want to obstruct the walk way for visitors.

Hanging: Please make sure you have sufficient hanging material on the back of your pictures i.e. string or wire. We will provide cable ties for attaching pictures to railings. Pictures should also be presented appropriately Frames, mounts etc.

Promoting yourself: We advise all exhibitors to have their name and contact details displayed for visitors i.e. leaflets, business cards etc (no banners). Frequently visitors go away and think about a picture that they have seen then want to get in touch with the exhibitor.

A few things to consider

  • Proper protection between artwork during transportation of work.
  • Protect ourselves from sun damage, wear sun protection!
*The sun has been know to fade some paintings especially works done with lesser quality paints, so you may want to think about how best to protect your work from sun damage also.
  • a small folding chair that you can sit on while you are there.
  • The nearest toilets will be in the Royals Shopping Centre.
  • Think about getting someone to give you a hand while setting up.
  • Wear something warm and bring a packed lunch. (Or enjoy food and drink from our many restaraunts/cafes around the area)
  • In the event of light rain we will provide clear plastic sheeting and clamps that will need to be returned at the end of each day.
  • Please note: Drinking Alcohol on the site during the event (and at all other times) is strictly prohibited. You will be asked to pack up and leave should this occurr.

Finally:Turn up on the day and enjoy yourself. It is as much about networking with other exhibitors as well as selling on the day. Obviously we all hope to sell but don't be discouraged if you don't. Next time could be your turn!
